Launching My Personal Blog: A Journey of Learning, Sharing, and Growth
Finally done! It took me quite a while—probably longer than I ever anticipated. I've always wanted my own blogging platform where I could share my thoughts, and I'm excited to say I finally have it. Now, I can start writing.
Hopefully, it’s not too late to start. In this age of AI, I aim to share my authentic thoughts without relying too much on AI tools. I enjoyed the process of building this platform immensely, and I’m hopeful I’ll enjoy writing just as much. Though I was never much of a writer (even though I love reading), having a blog has been a long-standing goal that I kept putting off. The source code is available on GitHub if you're interested.
Motivation
I learn a lot every day, but I’ve noticed that I also forget just as quickly. It seems we're great at processing information but not as strong at retaining it. What if I could keep a record of what I learn so that, whenever I need the info, I can just look it up? That would be ideal. So, I’m keeping a journal of everything I learn in this blog. As a software developer, most posts will be tech-related, but I’d also like to share more personal aspects, like new hobbies or my workout routines.
Recently, I read an article (can’t remember author’s name) where someone committed to posting on LinkedIn every day for 100 days. By the end, they had built a solid network and were even approached by recruiters, eventually landing a job. I found that very motivating. While landing a job isn’t my goal here, I do want to grow my network and build connections. This blog is a step toward establishing my online presence and engaging with a broader community.
Goals
Improve my writing skills
Enhance my communication skills (express myself more effectively)
Keep a journal of what I’ve learned
Expand my outreach and share my thoughts
Motivate myself to learn new skills and challenge myself every day
Build a network of like-minded individuals
